A guide to 2023's summer festivals that aren't music or food related
Film, architecture, books, theatre, podcasts... and robot swans
LiB is not a listings newsletter and we have no ambition to be one… Having said that, sometimes it feels like certain events in London get overlooked or lost in the noise, especially as the weather starts getting a bit better.
Last year, in an effort to try and correct that a bit, we ran an issue listing the summer festivals that had nothing to do with food or music because - even though we like both of those things - there are A LOT of those types of events; and the good ones sell out very quickly while the bad ones tend to be abysmal rip offs (don’t even get us started on the open-air cinemas charging £20 for a ‘luxury deck chair’).
This year we're doing it again, and we’ve added even more events this time. If you think we missed anything compelling though, let us know in the comments.
