What the GLA's report does and doesn't say about Boris Johnson and Jennifer Arcuri
We have to apologise, but we have misled you. On Monday we said that today’s issue would all be about gauging how London’s ‘recovery’ was getting along, but we’ve had to switch direction at the last minute.
Yesterday morning the Greater London Authority’s Oversight Committee finally published its report into the aftermath of the Boris Johnsons/Jennifer Arcuri affair; but because the country is currently undergoing bigger problems than what happens when Boris Johnson fails to keep his dick in his pants, the story got somewhat buried.
We wanted to dig into it a bit, because the GLA’s report isn’t just about Boris Johnson’s ongoing mission to populate London with little blond-haired offspring like some portly Viserys Targarayen. It’s also about how your council tax is spent, the pressure that’s put on the people who control those types of decisions, and whether or not the people who abuse and manipulate that system should face any kind of punishment.
